Powerday were thrilled to be awarded Supplier of the Year at the London Construction Awards 2019.
On the evening of day one of the London Build Expo, this fifth edition of the London Construction Awards marked the occasion of celebrating excellence, innovation and transformation within the built environment. The awards recognise the successes of London’s construction sector and its supply chain across a wide range of categories. The well-attended ceremony took place at the Novotel West London with impersonator Alistair McGowan hosting.
Supplier of the Year recognises suppliers in or outside London that have ‘demonstrated success, innovation or notable achievement’ in the built environment sector in the last year. Powerday’s success was awarded for multiple initiatives including, the production of high specification Refuse Derived Fuel to the renewable energy sector along with our on-going commitment to ‘changing young people’s lives in London for the better’, through the Powerday Foundation.
Edward Crossan, Vice Chairman, commented: “Powerday is the leading provider of waste management services to construction companies in London. Our team work hard to maintain this position and provide a first-class service to our clients and we are delighted to have this acknowledged with the Supplier of the Year Award.”
As well as taking home the company’s own award, Powerday sponsored the Sustainable Construction Award which was won by Multiplex Construction Europe.
Edward adds: “Powerday congratulates Multiplex and all winners from Wednesday night. There was a high level of competition in the room across each category so each award was hard won and well deserved.”
